DESIRED CHANCE: NON-PROFIT initiative
Desired Properties is a community-focused real estate organization committed to creating sustainable pathways to financial stability, homeownership, and generational wealth across Georgia. Through its signature initiative, A Desired Chance, the organization provides structured financial education, personalized coaching, and strategic guidance to equip individuals and families with the tools needed to make informed decisions while pursuing real estate ownership and investment opportunities.
A Desired Chance primarily serves low- to moderate-income households, individuals experiencing housing instability, those facing pre-foreclosure or active foreclosure, and individuals transitioning out of homelessness. The initiative also supports individuals seeking to strengthen their financial position, build assets, and achieve long-term financial independence and homeownership.
Through a structured financial empowerment curriculum, participants gain the knowledge and tools necessary to improve credit, increase income stability, and develop sustainable wealth-building strategies. By addressing both immediate housing crises and long-term financial barriers, Desired Properties delivers a full-cycle solution that supports stabilization, asset development, and clear pathways to homeownership, economic security, and generational wealth.
Recognizing that financial hardship is often tied to housing insecurity, A Desired Chance provides direct intervention services, including foreclosure prevention support, a dedicated housing crisis helpline, outreach to unhoused individuals, and placement into temporary or transitional housing. Participants also receive trauma-informed care and case management to ensure stabilization before progressing into long-term financial planning.
Through a structured, step-by-step model, individuals move from crisis intervention to stabilization, then to financial rebuilding and permanent housing placement. Once stabilized, participants are guided through credit improvement, income planning, and homebuyer readiness programs—positioning them to secure safe housing and ultimately build generational wealth through homeownership and real estate investment.
